Man Hospitalized After Easter Stabbing In Westchester

A man was hospitalized following an early morning stabbing near an intersection in Westchester, officials said.

The stabbing happened in the area of South 4th Avenue and East Sandford Boulevard in Mount Vernon, officials said.

The incident happened on Sunday, March 31 just after 2:45 a.m., when a male victim was stabbed multiple times in Mount Vernon near the area of South 4th Avenue and East Sandford Boulevard, according to Mount Vernon city officials. 

Arriving first responders found the victim with several stab wounds and quickly rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center, where he is now in stable condition.

Mount Vernon Police detectives are now conducting interviews and gathering evidence as they search for a suspect. 

Neither the name nor age of the victim have been released.
